A few months ago I decided to sign up for Birch Box. Simply put, by subscribing to its services, Birch Box will charge $10 a month and send you "personalized" boxes of product samples. I participated three months before unsubscribing. After that, I didn't find the program worth it to continue. I only used three of the samples that I received, and they are the size of the free samples you get with your purchase at Sephora.
I really do like the Spackle bronze tinted primer by Laura Geller. It helps even out the color on my face when I'm using my self-tanner.
The other two products shown are glorified chapsticks:
The Jouer lip enhancer is pretty nice. It leaves a dull numbing sensation while it plumps your lips. I like the product but I rarely use it since the entire container is smaller than my pinky finger.
The Be Fine lip serum has honestly only been used because it's wintertime and this was the first in reach.
Overall, I think the idea of having a Birch Box subscription is great. It introduces you to products you probably would have never tried, or even heard of. I recommend it to those who have the extra $10 to spare each month. If you're a modest college student like myself, don't bother. It will add up quicker than you think.
Have you tried Birch Box yet? If so, what did you think? Discuss it in the comments below.
